Identify the reservation
A useful breakdown starts with the resort, travel dates, reservation reference, and status. That allows you to connect the financial entry to the managed inventory. A listing, reservation, completed stay, and paid owner distribution represent different stages of the process.
Understand the revenue basis
Ask what revenue enters the calculation under your agreement. A percentage share needs an identified base amount to be meaningful. Check which costs, refunds, or other adjustments apply, and whether they are handled before or after the share is calculated.
Separate an estimate from a settled amount
A pending booking or expected proceeds figure can change before final reconciliation. Guest cancellations, refunds, channel charges, or payment issues may affect the amount. Your agreement and the relevant booking terms explain the treatment.
Know the payment cycle
Ask which completed stays fall into the next owner payment cycle and whether an item is still being reconciled. The signed agreement controls payout timing. If a statement does not make sense, ask owner services for the reservation-level explanation rather than relying on a headline revenue percentage.
